Excretion in humans involves the elimination of metabolic waste products such as carbon dioxide, urea, and water. The kidneys play a crucial role by filtering the blood to remove waste products and excess ions, which are then excreted as urine. Other organs involved in excretion include the lungs, which remove carbon dioxide, and the skin, which eliminates water and salts through sweat.
