Of course, it snows commonly in the forest. The boreal forest occupies much of the mid-high latitudes, where it snows the most. But the cover of the land really has little to do with what goes on in the atmosphere.

∙ 14y agoYes, deciduous forests can experience snowfall during the winter months in regions where temperatures drop low enough for snow to form. Snowfall in deciduous forests can contribute to important ecological processes like providing water for plants and animals and insulating the forest floor.

what minerals do they mine for in the deciduous forests
Nothing.
The temperature in a deciduous forest in spring can vary, but it typically ranges from 50-70°F (10-20°C). As spring progresses, temperatures gradually increase, allowing for new plant growth and the return of animals to the forest ecosystem.
Temperate forests are often called deciduous forests because the dominant trees in these ecosystems shed their leaves seasonally in response to changing environmental conditions, such as decreased light and temperature during winter. This adaptation allows trees to conserve water and energy during the colder months.
Deciduous trees are typically found in temperate forests biome. These trees shed their leaves in the fall in response to colder temperatures and less sunlight.

Coniferous or deciduous? Coniferous forests look green, unless there's snow on the trees, then they look like Christmas cards. Deciduous trees loose their leaves or turn brown. The forest would look grey and dead. You can see a long way into a deciduous forest in the winter. You can't do that with coniferous forests. This all refers to forests in the northern hemisphere.
