Not really. There is a small solid core, but it's nothing like a planetary surface as we usually think of them. It is under an enormous pressure caused by the mass of gas that makes up the bulk of the planet. We could never go there bodily, and we don't have nearly the technology or engineering to develop a useful probe that could. We don't call it a gas giant for nothing. no.

∙ 15y agoJupiter does not have a solid surface like Earth. It is a gas giant composed mostly of hydrogen and helium, with no distinct solid or liquid surface. Instead, its outer layers gradually transition into a dense, metallic hydrogen layer deep within the planet.

∙ 13y agono because it is a old planet
--------------------------
Age has nothing to do with its mass and composition.
At this time, scientists believe that Jupiter is a gas giant and is entirely made up of gas. This means, we currently believe there is no surface (or solids) on Jupiter. (Except for the occasional asteroid that strikes it and gets slowly pulverized?)
The atmosphere is approximately 75% hydrogen and 24% helium by mass, with the remaining one percent of the mass consisting of other elements.
The interior contains denser materials such that the distribution is roughly 71% hydrogen, 24% helium and 5% other elements by mass. -XX3

∙ 7y agoNo, Jupitar is a giant planet made up mostly of gases. The rings around Jupiter are made up of bits of asteroids that have broken apart and drifted into orbit around it.

∙ 15y agoNO JUPITER HAS A SMALL CORE OF SOLID BUT ITS NOTHING LIKE A PLANETARY SURFACE
Wiki User
∙ 9y agoNo. It is one of the gas giants. It might have a solid core, though.

∙ 9y agoNo. Gas giants do not have solid surfaces.
No. Jupiter does not have a solid surface. There is nothing to land on.
Jupiter's surface is composed of gas rather than solid ground, so there isn't a traditional surface like on Earth. Its outer layer consists mainly of hydrogen and helium, with no solid ground to stand on. The visible clouds on Jupiter are part of its atmosphere and do not represent a solid surface like we have on Earth.
No. Jupiter is a gas giant with no solid surface. There is nothing there to build on.
Jupiter is a gas giant composed mostly of hydrogen and helium, with no solid surface. It does not have hills or a flat surface like terrestrial planets such as Earth.
Jupiter does not have a solid surface like rocky planets. It is a gas giant made mostly of hydrogen and helium. Therefore, it does not have a surface that can be described as rough or smooth like terrestrial planets.

No
Jupiter is a gas giant and does not have a solid surface like Earth, so it does not have oceans in the traditional sense. However, it may have a layer of liquid metallic hydrogen deep below its clouds, which behaves more like a liquid metal than water.
no, becaus Jupiter's surface is not solid!
The surface of Jupiter is not solid!
No. Jupiter does not have a solid surface.
Jupiter is gas.
nope, no solid surface, all gas.
Jupiter is a gas giant, consisting mostly of hydrogen and helium with no solid surface. Its atmosphere is dense and made up of various layers of gas.
No. Jupiter is a gas planet. It has no solid surface.
Neither. Jupiter is a gas planet. There is no solid surface.
