Physical Short Term - 1300 FT was blasted off the top of Mount St Helen's. Power supplies were cut off and water was contaminated with the ash. 230 Square miles of forest was destroyed.

Physical Long Term - The Lodges on Mount St Helen's had to be closed down. 57 People died. Ash Settled 15cm deep.
