Mitochondrial DNA is circular, smaller in size, and codes for only about 37 genes related to energy production. On the other hand, Nuclear DNA is linear in structure, larger in size, and contains genes responsible for various cellular functions, including growth, development, and reproduction. Mitochondrial DNA is maternally inherited, while nuclear DNA is inherited from both parents.

There is big difference between DNA of mitochondria and that of nucleus because mitochondrial DNA perform the function of power sta tion for the cell while the DNA of the nucleus control the whole cell functions and provide the basic instruction for the cell makeup

What are the main difference between mitochondrial and chloroplast DNA's?

The ribosomes of chloroplasts closely resemble bacterial ribosomes, while mitochondrial ribosomes show both similarities and differences that make their origin more difficult to trace.

What part of cell that double membrane that forms the boundary between the nuclear contents and the cytoplasm?

The part of the cell is called the nuclear envelope, which consists of two lipid bilayer membranes that enclose the nucleus. It controls the movement of molecules in and out of the nucleus, regulating communication between the nucleus and the cytoplasm.

Difference between mitochondrial DNA and Nuclear DNA?

Mitochondrial DNA (mtDNA) is found in the mitochondria and is inherited maternally. It is smaller in size and encodes for a few essential genes related to energy production. Nuclear DNA is found in the cell nucleus and is inherited from both parents. It is larger and contains the majority of an organism's genetic information.

What are the difference between fission and nuclear?

That's like asking what is the difference between a potato and a plant. Nuclear fission is the splitting of atoms to release binding energy. Nuclear is the overall concept that structure and energy of the atom is contained within the nucleus. This answer assumes, by virtue of the category the question was placed in, that the intended topic is nuclear physics, and not biology, to which it could just have as easily been applied.

What is mass defect associated with?

Mass defect is associated with nuclear reactions and nuclear binding energy. It refers to the difference between the measured mass of an atomic nucleus and the sum of the masses of its individual protons and neutrons. This difference is released as energy when the nucleus is formed.
