∙ 12y agoWhat is a PVC vent pipe doing in your attic? It shold not terminate in an attic if it is a vent pipe. Check to see if it is an air supply for your funace. Something doesn't seem right.
I have seen PVC pipe used (incorrectly) for venting a bathroom fan or similar. Regardless of wrong or right materials, if this is the case the small amount of water could be as a result of warm moisture-laden air coming into contact with a cold space (the attic), resulting in condensation. I have seen a clothes dryer vented in this fashion result in a huge pool of water over the vapour barrier in attic. This would obviously be more evident in winter. If it IS an exhaust or venting line, it should be appropriate material - usually insulated at exposed point in the attic - and run preferably to vertical discharge through a roof vent, or horizontally to a soffit vent.In any case, until you know what it is don't cap it.

∙ 12y agoIt is not recommended to cap a PVC vent pipe in the attic that has discharged water, as it could be a sign of a larger issue such as a blockage or leak in the Plumbing system. It's best to address the root cause of the water discharge by inspecting and repairing the pipe rather than capping it. Consulting a professional plumber would be advisable in this situation.

If you are tired of crawling through the small space in your closet to access your attic, you should consider installing an attic ladder. An attic ladder can be installed in your garage or breezeway and will give you better access to your attic than a small crawl space. Most attic ladders come completely assembled, so installing an attic ladder is easy and only takes a few hours. It is much safer to use an attic ladder too, as it offers more stability than a traditional ladder or step stool.

If you did not include your landlord in your schedule of unsecured debts, and you owe him, then he can go to small claims court. His being informed of the bankrupcy but not included--does not release you of the debt. Call your attorney and see if he can add the landlord--depending on the amount--it may not be worth it if it is still possible. * Once a bankruptcy has been discharged it cannot be reopened to include debts. It can sometimes be reopened to include non exempt assets of the debtor.
