Multicellular organisms have specialized cells that can perform specific functions, leading to increased efficiency and complexity in carrying out tasks. They also have a longer lifespan and greater ability to adapt to changes in their environment compared to unicellular organisms. Additionally, multicellular organisms can achieve larger sizes and diverse forms due to the coordination of multiple cells working together.

The principal advantages of being a multicellular organism, is that this allows the specialization of various functions, such as musculature, respiration, blood supply, excretion etc. This allows the animal to become larger and thus better adapt to the environment.

This applies to a more limited extent to plantae, such as the large trees, which are among the largest living things known.

It is better to be multicellular because then the body will have various cells that can handle each job and sometimes a single type of cell cannot do everything. Therefore, when you have many cells the jobs of a body can be divided equally.

Unicellular organisums can't adapt to their envirment. But they don't have to work hard to get food and they reproduce quickly. Multicellular organisums can adapt very well and can live when a cell dies where as the unicelllar only has one cell onces it dies its done. Also, unicellular organisums are small and can die very easily
