The stomach. the enzymes
Your stomach
Breaking down a material or substance. For example: When humans eat, they break down the food using chemical (hydrochloric acid) digestion, which breaks down the food into the core nutrients.
The process of cellular respiration breaks down food molecules to produce ATP. This process involves breaking down glucose to release energy which is used to form ATP through a series of biochemical reactions in the mitochondria of the cell.
Food digestion begins in the mouth, where the enzymes in saliva start breaking down the carbohydrates. From there, the partially digested food travels to the stomach where it is further broken down by stomach acid and enzymes. Finally, the food moves to the small intestine where most of the digestion and nutrient absorption occurs.
the acid breaks down your food
The acid is a fluid that breaks down food in your stomach.
hydrochloric acid (HCl)
digestive juice acid
When the hydrochloric acid in the stomach breaks down the food.
Hydrochloric acid breaks down the food into smaller particles :)
The stomach breaks down food with gastric acid, also known as stomach acid. Gastric acid contains hydrochloric acid. In addition, the stomach performs some mechanical breakdown of food.. Food enters the stomach where it is further broken apart and thoroughly mixed with gastric acid, pepsin and other digestive enzymes to break down proteins.
the same way yours breaks down~ WITH THERE STOMACH ACID
mashes up food and breaks it down with stomach acid
Enzyme is one of the body chemicals that break down food. It is ready in your saliva before you eat. Bile, or stomach acid also breaks down food during digestion.
because acid breaks it down....witouti it u would have to pass through chunks of food :(
the acid involved in the breakdown of food in the stomach is Hydrochloric Acid (HCl)
