"Rockin' Robin" is a song written by Leon René under the pseudonym of Jimmie Thomas and recorded by Bobby Day in 1958.

Also Eddie Silver his backing group was the Railroaders who later became The Shadows, the backing singers were called The ladybirds. Eddie Silver (Edward John George Sivell) went on to become a solo artist . Eddie died in 1992 leaving behind a wife, two children and three grandchildren.

The Henchmen in Australia (with Rick Diamond) also had a Top Ten hit with this song.
