Tap shoes do not need socks worn with them. If you are worried about your feet smelling/sweating, put baby powder on your feet. If you are just practicing, you can wear socks to prevent chaffing.
for me i would wear them without those socks you would wear with tennis shoes... but i would wear them with the socks you would wear with ballet flats, for girls. :)
