Ozzy was basically kicked out of Black Sabbath because he was too busy getting wasted on various drugs and was unable to, in the other bandmates' opinion, fully commit to the band's creative process. During some gigs, he would not be able to remember lyrics and had to improv them. I believe that it was really Tony Iommi that wanted him out the most, and Ozzy was soon asked to leave. Later, Ozzy said that he was grateful for leaving Sabbath, but at the time he locked himself away in a hotel room and continually got wasted until Sharon told him to form a new band. He found Randy Rhoads and the second chapter of his musical career began.

Also, there was mutual disenchantment going on. Ozzy's heart was no longer in Sabbath, he felt Iommi was being dictatorial, he'd quit once already, the band as a whole weren't getting on so well anymore.
Dave was a HEAVY drinker and was more worried about partying than the music. He wasn't taking Metallica as seriously as the others were. Also, Dave wanted to take Metallica in a different direction than Lars and James had planned. I'm personally glad they did. I prefer Kirk better, and Dave has certainly served justice in Megadeth. If I'm wrong, correct me.
-This is a different guy. But I was told by one of my friends that is a big die hard fan of Metallica, that they kicked him because he wiped his butt with a towel or something on one of their tour's...idk
You are wrong and I will correct you. Dave may have been a heavy drinker, but as far as more worried about partying than music, that is a huge lie, he always
managed to be together enough to write and play music, which is miraculous
considering he was an addict at the time. He is always serious about what
ever he is involved in at the time, even back when he was still on drugs. As far
as you preferring Kirk to Dave, there is no comparison, Mustaine blows Kirk out
of the water. They only thing you are correct about is Dave serving justice in
Megadeth. As tragically as it all happened, we are all glad they drove Dave away, he outshines Hetfield and Ulrich creatively and technically.
I just read Dave Mustaine's autobiography, which came out last year. He cites a specific incident as being the impetus for his leaving the band. The incident supposedly involved an altercation between Mustaine and Hetfield, over Mustaine's dog causing damage to a vehicle, Hetfield hitting the dog and Mustaine coming unglued as a result.
It probably did not help that they met Kirk Hammett and had to pick between the two. I agree, though, that Mustaine is a phenomenal musician, but both guitar players have their merits. The only problem, from what I've heard and read, is that Mustaine likes to call the shots and would never be happy being told what to do. (He left home at 15)
Ace Frehley was not fired. He left on his own. Frehley was a drug addict and had any icy relationship with the band, so he left. He also wasn't happy with the musical direction KISS was going into. Frehley also quoted that he hated the album, Music From the Elder so badly, he smashed the cassette into a wall.
The lineup for kiss is Paul Stanely (lead vocals/guitar), Gene Simmons (secondary vocals/bass), Peter Criss (Drums), and Ace Frehly (Guitar). Paul Stanley is the lead singer for Kiss.
They both went in different musical directions with solo albums. Ace Frehley was a pretty bad alcoholic and kinda got kicked out of the band. Peter Criss can no longer play anymore really because he has arthiritus in his feet.

Ace left in 1983 and during the Farewell tour, due to drug use and booze in 1983, and an argument about how KISS was opening for Aerosmith, he is happier currently when asked in Guitar Player

It was Ace Frehley, in 1982.
Tommy Thayer is now the lead guitar player! He wears Ace Frehley's make up! ONLY because Ace sold his make-up rights to Gene Simmons! Tommy is known throughout the KISS world as "replace Ace".
