One other side note is that we are encouraged to be balanced in the matter of entertainment. A person can waste a lot of productive, valuable time watching movies, TV, and playing video games. So we are encouraged to be wise with our time.
ANSWERI'm a JW, and I listen to music, my favorite band being the Jonas brothers, and I watch TV, my favorite channels being Disney, USA network (Monk, awesome show) TV Land (Old TV shows are the best!) and history (I love history!!) I will watch RFDTV if they have something about horses. ANSWERThere are those, including some in the organization, who feel that listening to or having a career in pop music is a strange thing for a Jehovah's Witness to do as it has connections with drug taking and the occult.Listening to rap music and heavy metal has been strongly discouraged by the organization for these reasons, but many parents do find it difficult to prevent their children listening to these art forms as they often have little or no knowledge about them.Indeed,it is often ignorance about modern music that causes some parents in our religion to discourage their children from listening to it,as you may find it more difficult to accept something if you don't know much about it.Examples of people in the recording industry who became Jehovah's Witnesses include Shadows guitarist Hank Marvin,German easy listening artist Ricky King, jazz artist Benny Golson and the singers Michael Jackson,George Benson,Prince and William DeVaughn.
Jehovah's Witnesses have no prohibition against any particular genre, although there is counsel provided about the lyrics of many heavy metal and rap songs, the choice is still up to the individual, or in the case of children, it is the responsibility of the parents. If you know someone who is a witness that doesn't listen to pop, that is an individual choice that they have made.
Answer 1: Jehovah's Witness have their own songs that they sing. They generally don't identify with the Gospel Music of other Christian religions because of differences in doctrine.
Another Answer by a Contributor: Probably for the same reason that Muslims, Hindus and Shintoists don't sing 'gospel' music. They have their own songs to sing. Witnesses use a song book provided by their Governing Body in New York.

We dont wear baggy clothes nor do we wear tight things as well. Jehovah's Witnesses are only encouraged to be modest in their dress and grooming. (1Timothy 2:9; Titus 2:3-5)
We don't engage in relic worship or honor the murder weapon that took Jesus life. He wasn't executed on a cross either, but on a stake.

Yes, Jehovah's Witnesses do have traditional weddings. However, their weddings may differ in some aspects from mainstream cultural or religious traditions, as they prioritize following their own religious beliefs and principles. For example, they may choose to incorporate scriptures from the Bible into their wedding ceremony and emphasize the importance of spiritual unity and commitment.
actually they dont believe in the son or the spirit to be all one. so it would have to be something other than that.
Yes you can give a witnesses a card; whether the witnesses will chose to accept it will depend on several factors. Since Jehovah's Witnesses do not celebrate Christmas or birthdays (or other celebrations they deem as 'pagan') if this has previously been explained the witness may or may not choose to accept the card if it is for one of these occassions. He or she may accept the card in the spirit it was given, explaining the above or may chose not to accept the card. If the card is for another occassion that the witnesses finds unobjectionable they will likely accept it with thanks.
