Before recorded human history. People got together to dance as a community long before anybody invented the idea of a dancehall.

The first dancing areas were simply spaces in villages or small communities where people used crude Musical Instruments and others moved to the rhythm, to the pleasure of all.

dancehall started back in the 1950's to 1960's when Caribbean people gathered in the street as a community together with loads of different instrument such as steel band, triangle , fluet, drums etc.
