He had to leave the band because he could no longer play their greatest hits, which was a problem at that time. He never went back to the music business, and hasn't done anything since.

He left the band in '94 because he had trouble with playing his parts live. When the band confronted that, it was obvious that he was out. Fron 1994 and onwards Hough plays for him.
