Hank did not fall off a cliff, but rather slid and tumbled down a steep ice covered slope, face first, until a nice boulder stopped the slide. The kid wrapped Hank's split head in a jacket to stop the bleeding, kept him warm, and kept him conscious for 5 hours until the chopper came.
