Who was the cause of Elvis Presley's death?

The official cause of death was "Heart disease" which contributed to the death of his beloved mother Gladys Love (Smith) Presley at the age of 46 as well as many relatives (on his mothers' side) around the same age at the time of their death.

I believe that Elvis had a heart attact or heart failure at the age of 42. He also ate a lot of fatty foods which caused him to become overweight (this may have cause the risk of him having a serious heart attack and dying).

Elvis also took many forms of drugs which also caused his health to deteriorate, and this may also (with his unhealthy diet), may have caused his death.

Elvis died from taking too many prescription drugs. They included Valium and Codeine to name a few. This made his heart beat irregularly, until it finally stopped. His autopsy results were sealed away and will not be opened until 2027, exactly 50 years after his death.

However, in 1976 Jerry Lee Lewis appeared at Elvis' home in Memphis Tennessee waiving and shoting a pistol threatening to kill Elvis. Jerry Lee Lewis was arrested and later apologized to Elvis and his family (note: Jerry Lee Lewis at the time had a drinking problem).

Well, many believe and say he "faked" the death. But, everyone says it was a heart condition. However, a long term friends says it was chronic constipation, this was caused from a disease called "bowel paralysis" from too many drugs, which made it difficult to go to the bathroom. He use to have accidents on stage and would get embarrassed, I truly pity him, he represents an American figure and I think it is awful people say he died from drug overdose. Did you know he wouldn't let no one treat him because he thought it would make him look "weak". His doctor claimed he would have been here today if he would have accepted the treatment.

Ginger Alden (who was Elvis' girlfriend and was living at Graceland at the time) discovered Elvis had died at Graceland and immediately called downstairs and reached Joe Esposito, Elvis long time friend and employee, who immediately tried to revive Elvis and then called the Operator (as at the time there was no "911" service) who asked for an ambulance. Approximately 20 minutes later the ambulance arrived at Graceland and Elvis was taken directly to Baptist Memorial Hospital and shortly thereafter Elvis was officially pronounced as dead.
