I think you're trying to describe the song "Land of a Thousand Dances" as performed by Cannibal and the Headhunters. The lead singer was Frankie "Cannibal" Garcia.
The original song did not have the "na na na" section; it's reportedly the result of Garcia forgetting the actual lyrics.
Wilson Picket rerecorded the song a year later, including the "na na na" part, so that's another possible answer.

The song "Na Na Na (Na Na Na Na Na Na Na Na Na)" by My Chemical Romance features the word "na" repeated multiple times, but it doesn't contain any actual instances of "na" as a standalone word in terms of its lyrics.
