Michael Portnoy's "Mirage Monster" is a 20-piece kit.
A few guys had really large kits--Neil Peart, Joey Jordison and John Dolmayan come to mind--but Portnoy's is the king. At least one of Portnoy's kits was designed so that two players could play it at the same time--this for drum duets during Dream Theater shows.
Now, if you'd included players who weren't in any one band, Terry Bozzio's got probably the biggest kit going--the "SS Bozzio."
-If I'm not mistaken, Chad Smith of the Red Hot Chilli Peppers has a Guinness Book of World Records entry for playing the largest drum kit consisting of 308 pieces.
Terry Bozzio (Frank Zappa et al) presently tours with this kit. Not sure how big, but daunting to say the least. 21 foot pedals help run this monster

they have different drum sizes a fusion kit has 10" and 12" toms, 14" floor tom and 20" bass drum while a rock kit has 12" and 13" toms, 16" floor tom and a 22" bass drum the different kits are preffered for different types of music but either can be used x
it is percussion that it comes from, but i played kit in a brass band so it might be brass
Piccalo snare drum and bongos are the only things I can think of.

Ion Audio Drum Rocker Rock Band Drum Set.
No you can't.
Plug it in.
i don't know how much rockband1 is but rock band 2 is 140 dollars(plus tax >.>) and it has the new wireless drum kit.
A rock band will generally contain the key board, one or two guitars and a drum-kit.
New answer: The cymbals will not work out of the box with the rock band 1 drum set, but there are ways of modifying the RB1 drum set so that they can use the cymbals. See the link below. Old answer: http://www.instructables.com/id/Mod-Rock-Band-2-Cymbals-for-Electronic-Drumset-or-/
The drum kit keeps the time in the band, so the others can time their part in.
No, but it does on Wii.
the instruments are supported; however, there are no cymbals on the rock band drum kit. GHWT will remove the cymbal noted to accomodate, but if you ant the fulle experience, at least buy the GH standalone drum kit.

Unfortunately, if your warranty has expired, you are out of luck as far as getting it replaced for free. If you have worn out multiple drum sets, I would highly recommend investing in the ION Drum Rocker. It is $250, but it is a professional electronic drum kit. You can even hook it up to an amplifier and use it as a real drum kit.
