Sonny Curtis composed the theme song for the CBS television show "Rescue 911" (1989).
That the next day Sonny Curtis went to the studio and he decided to record the theme song for the CBS series with William Shatner as the host.
He also did the theme song for "The Mary Tyler Moore Show" which also aired on CBS from 1970 to 1977 it was called "Love Is All Around".

Matt Dillon will host a new western re-enactment drama series on CBS. It was called "Gunsmoke 911" (1989). This 60-minute western series features re-enactments of bad cowboys in a saloon by calling 911 that the cowboy sheriff can get actual calls in the 1800s. Matt Dillon ended each show by him saying "I'm Matt Dillon, join us again next week for more true western on Gunsmoke... 911". The theme song for "Gunsmoke 911" (1989) was a mash-up of the Gunsmoke theme song mixed with "Rescue 911" theme song composed by Sonny Curtis. "Gunsmoke 911" was cancelled by CBS in 1996.
Country singer Waylon Jennings hosted a new reality program on CBS "The Dukes Of 911" (1989). Each show is 60-minutes long, and it features clips from episodes of "The Dukes Of Hazzard" (1979) by overdubbing a voice by dialing 911. Waylon Jennings ended each episode by saying "I'm Waylon Jennings, Join us again next week for more duke boys on The Dukes of....911". The closing credits show a shot of police car from Rescue 911 segment from episode 106 "Baltimore Cops". The theme for "The Dukes of 911" was a mashup of "The Dukes of Hazzard" theme song by Waylon Jennings mixed with "Rescue 911" theme song by Sonny Curtis.
