Ah, frets are like little guides on the neck of a string instrument. The harp is a beautiful instrument that doesn't have frets, allowing the player to create a lovely, flowing sound without any restrictions. Just imagine the gentle plucking of strings creating a peaceful melody, like painting a serene landscape with music.

Harp

Harp is a good answer. But there are others.

Harpsichord for one.

Technically, *all* the bowed string instruments-- violin, viola, etc-- qualify, since they are indeed plucked, when the score calls for pizzicato.

But in particular, the upright bass definitely qualifies, because in jazz or early rock'n'roll, it is used almost exclusively plucked.

In a similar vein, there are also fretless bass Guitars.
