How did ACDC get its name?

Ac/dc was thought up by Angus and Melcome when they looked on their sister's new sewing machine box and saw AC for alternating current and DC for Direct Current

AC/DC stands for the current of electricity and Bon Scott (the group 1st singer) thought it sounded good
