John was 16 years old when a friend, Don Beatty, at Quarry Bank Highschool played an Elvis Presley record. Because of this music, John formed The Quarrymen, his first band.
Still without the well known members Paul,George and Ringo.
Lennon played harmonica as a boy, and reportedly took a short round of Accordion lessons. He got his first guitar at fifteen, after weeks of begging both his aunt (who raised him) and his mother (who visited frequently); his mother got him one by mail-order. (His aunt later took the credit for buying him his first one.)
John Lennon started his music career at a very early age. When he was younger he loved art until he heard music called "Skiffle". His aunt, Aunt Mimi, disapproved of his new hobbies. He ignored her and he started his first band when he was around 15 years old called The Quarrymen. About two years later, The Quarrymen turned into The Beatles.

School was never his forte. He was completely terrible at math science English and all the other classes. It seemed that the only thing he was good at, was art. He always did love music though, and somehow got into an art college. Art can be painting, or music, and he loved both of them, so music was always his fate I guess.
I have no clue
