Crossroads is a compilation Box Set that has work from Derek And The Dominoes, Delany And Bonnie And Friends, John Mayall And The Bluesbreakers, The Yardbirds, Cream and Blind Faith. It was released in 1988. It had four discs and there is previously unreleased music on there. So the answer to the question is the music was recorded throughout Clapton's career.

Many Clapton fans heard the live version on the Cream album of Wheels of Fire.
