The main conflict in The Last Song is all about Ronnie and the forgiving of her father, Steve. Ronnie finds it hard to forgive her father after her parent's divorice and blames him for the seperation. Also the main conflict is about Ronnie opening herself up to new things and people and learning that others do love you for who you are.
It is about two great football players. One was black the other was white. They both struggled to be the best and play for the Bears but then stuff happens and they stoped to help each other recover. Gale helped Brian and vice versa. Brian then died of cancer.
Mainly the fact that Brian develops cancer and can no longer play football. He also has to board with Gale Sayers, and at that time a black and white player rooming together was unheard of. They quickly become best friends though, and even when Gale injures his leg, making Brian the best player by default, Brian helps Gale regain his strength and play football again.
