I just had this replaced today... I will be more then happy to explain this as best I can hoping you still check this.
My front right sway bar bushing was bad making a weird noise only on rough roads, bumps or even if I push the car down on that side.
It sounded like rattle mixed with a clunking noise on rough roads. Example...drive through a parking lot that has rough surfaces sewers drains...stuff like that. Depending which bushing is bad the sound will come to that direction.... A sway bar bushing is part of the suspension incase you were wondering.
So it sounds like a mix of rattling and clunk. Not expensive to replace, was $72 but since he saw I had cash, he only charged me $60. Then again, I have a awesome mechanic.
Hope this helps.
A sway bar is a bar of spring steel It is bad if cracked, broken or has notches or slots worn into it. Sway bar noise usually comes from worn links or worn bushings, both a relatively easy thing to repair.
Could be a bad shock absorber or shock absorber bushing. Could be bad bushings on the rear sway bar (if equipped).
Bad shock absorber.Bad/worn shock absorber bushings.Broken exhaust pipe/hanger.Bad/worn sway bar links or bushings.
The clunk is probably a universal going bad, and the popping out is probably caused by worn sifter bushings
The popping noise can be caused by a bad year in the rear end. The popping noise can also because by a bad you joint.

bad trailing arms or bushings,or bad struts!!
Worn out shocks perhaps. Could be bad suspension bushings too.
Possibly a broken shock or bad stabilizer bushings
I had a 1990 nissan maxima that use to do that and the problem was my rack and pinion bushings were bad

Mazda Proteges are known for their sway bar links to go bad around 80,000. They make a terrible clunking noise, but if intact (in most cases) the car is still safe to drive.
could be the rear strut bushings are bad.
Could be you have a bad belt or belt is loose.. Also it might be possible that the bushings are worn out of the alternator
Might be lower control arm. Might be tie rods and/or ball joints. Are the new tires and aggresive tread pattern? Have and alignment down to nail down the problem. i have new tires, new upper control arms, new suspension, new sway bar bushings.
If you drive calmly w/o pushing the performance - Nothing much. The car will roll more when cornering, that's about it.
unless real bad usaully do not make a noise but give bad vibration.
