I would say it depends on proof that its his (maybe you have a photo of you getting it at the concert) and how much of a fan a person is. I know I'd pay up to 50-100$ for my favorite artists pick. Pick value depends on a multitude of factors....whether the pick is a generic style (available at the local music store) or custom imprint, the rarity of the pick (how many gross were manufactured), the condition, whether the person is alive or dead, the specific pick or imprint color, and how hard it is to get a pick from the specific artist. People like Cheap Trick's resident guitar genius Rick Neilsen throws picks out at concerts by the bucketful while Paul McCartney may toss out a few per show. A special event pick from an event like a Superbowl or Grammy performance will be harder to get than because they may only make up a single gross (144 picks) of them for the event, whereas a signature/logo pick they may use for an entire tour would be ordered by the caseload. The most important factor of all is what the market will bear. If you think a pick is worth $500 but nobody will offer you more than $10, I'd say you have a ten dollar pick on your hands. ~PickGuru

An electic guitar can use any pick, as a acoustic guitar can use. If you want to strum you want a flismy pick, or a small size. And if you want to pick the notes your going to want to have a hard pick, or a large.
Kenny played a Guild MkIV. He simply loved the sound it produced. He used La Bella strings, although I've forgotten the model. Although he eventually installed a pick-up, he preferred to play it unplugged and using a mic.
It is the pick guard. It keeps your pick from scratching the guitar's surface.

This is actually called a pick guard and its purpose is to protect the guitar's finish because when people play the guitar with a pick, they may unintentionally scratch the body of the guitar. Also, it is decorative.
