spectrum505 is a scottish techno/electronic band,from the city of Glasgow,.

the key members are Kevin wood and Scott mclean, they were known to work with other musicians and artists

from Glasgow…James devlin artist/bass player,Andrew close,Guitars,James mcdermott,drum programmer.

the pair first met in 1998,where scot was a member of the scottish rock band cutler with bass player James devlin,a year later Kevin joined the band ,playing various clubs in Glasgow,king tut's,strawberry fields.

in 2003 the band split up ,Kevin,and Scott formed spectrum505 in 2004,after a slow start they have recorded

4 albums,at xena studios Glasgow &gilles studio troon.

and were currently working on a 5th album,WE ARE ALL FREE

their sound is ambient/drum&bass/techno/trip hop

the name spectrum505 comes from the zx sinclair spectrum &the roland505 drum machine.

spectrum505 were currently working on a new e.p with sinking cities singer/songwriter johnny organ

and a project with former cutler lead singer/songwriter paul mellor was in the pipe line.

single and album covers …spectrum505 quit music on 24th october 2009 due to equipment damages and lack of funds and family problems .after a long needed rest spectrum505 are back , working again with a fresh approach and looking forward to the future …with new electronic equipment ,…new material
