They are a mask-wearing American Nu-Metal band that is known for their originality and unique style of music. They gained popularity with the release of their first demo, Mate. Feed. Kill. Repeat. Slipknot originally had Anders Colselfini as the frontman, but had numerous line-up switches before finally settling with what is now "Slipknot".
