The MIJ Strats - particularly those produced in the Fujigen factory - are considered to be superior quality to mid-80s US Strats, and among the best Strats ever made. A 1984-7 MIJ Strat in good condition would probably fetch up to $500. Prices are going up as people realise the quality of these instruments and they start to get "vintage" status.
