Depends on the condition - e-series Made In Japan Stratocasters are now very collectable, and contrary to popular misconception, are worth more than their American made 80s contemporaries (but considerably less than older US Strats). The MIJ Strats - particularly those produced in the Fujigen factory - are considered to be superior quality to mid-80s US Strats, and among the best Strats ever made. A 1984-7 MIJ Strat in good condition would probably fetch up to $500. Prices are going up as people realise the quality of these instruments and they start to get "vintage" status.
There are many different types of fender guitars. One is the Fender Stratocaster. The fender Strat. is what some people call the universal guitar. People call the Strat this because if you look at any type of music (jazz, rock, blues, funk, country) you will find at least one artest that plays a fender strat. I own an American Fender Stratocaster Deluxe and I love it. If you are a rock fan, then go with the Telecaster which was made to play rock music. Fender also makes acoustic guitars but they are not the best quality I think. If you are looking for an acoustic guitar then look at Ibanez. They make a good acoustic guitar. I hope that this helps. If you have any other questions about guitars, I would suggest looking in the fourms of this website. http://www.ultimate-guitar.com/ This is the best website for all your guitar needs.
The E prefix on the Fender guitar denotes one produced in the 1980s. The 7 that follows the "E" indicates that the guitar was made in Fuji-Gen Japan. Together, these digits tell us more specifically that the guitar was made somewhere between 1984-87.
Yes the fender guitars have great quality, as long as you buy one made in the USA or Mexico. China and Japan make fender squire guitars but they are cheaply made and don't last as long. If you are looking at buying a fender guitar then look at a Mexican or American stratocaster. That is one of the best guitars that fender makes and the best places they make them. The Mexican strat. will last you about 3 to 5 years and the USA strat. about your whole life. Hope that helps. I agree, definitely go for a strat
they've been going on ebay for anywhere b/w 450-600
