The guitar, either acoustic or electric, is the primary instrument in blues. If the guitar is plugged in, then bass and drums will also be present, forming a "power trio". When unplugged, the guitarist/singer may be alone. The guitar is often played with a slide. Harmonica is used very often as well. Horn sections, organs and pianos are all fairly common. Fiddles are not typically used, nor are banjos or mandolins usually.
saxaphone's piano's cello's and guitar's
2nd A: Well, you can use pianos, basses, cello's (I think...), Bass Guitar, guitar, the sax, Trumpet, tronbone, harmonica (sometimes), and, ovbiously, your voice! I mean, your voice is an instrument, take it from a person who goes to a school all about visual arts; music, art, drama, ect.
The guitar and the harmonica are classic Blues instruments. Blues is a style of music and how it is played.
There is also drums, bass, piano, vocals, and even trumbet, Trombone, and saxaphone, but that is more of a "Big Band" Jazz style and are not needed.
The first and most important instrument used in Blues Music (and many others) is the human voice. Everything else is accompaniment.
Instruments that are often found in a blues band are;
The Nose Trumpet - Someone will play the sound of a trumpet with their nose, this adds alot of dynamics to the peice.
The Leg Tap - Someone will tap their leg along to the melody to enhance the sound and give a real feel to the music.
The Armpit Fart - Someone will put their hand underneath the arm pit and make a farting sound to add power to the peice.
Blues is more about the style of music than the instruments. A good blues musician can use almost any instrument effectively. Some common traditional blues instruments are: piano, bass, Saxophone, harmonica, drum, guitar (frequently used with a slide), banjos, etc.
