He has been charged with battery, for being part of a shooting. (where Michael cook was murdered) but Ronnie didnt kill Michael. Marcel and Micheal Colquitt did. One of the guys commited suicide, so Ronnie got the full blame and he is now on probation for 5 years.
But as of June 12, he was a idiot and jumped his probation sooo, he is a wanted man and will most likely get more time.
After pleading guilty to battery charges related to a brawl [involving guns] that lead to the death of a boy named Michael Cook, Ronnie Radke has been sentenced. And it isn't pretty.
There were six people involved in the brawl; the only one who has been held accountabe, however, is Ronnie. Two other people involved in the brawl were brothers Michael and Marcel Colquitt. They were charged with murder, but the charges were dropped. Marcel Colquitt committed suicide last September.
As for Ronnie, he pled guilty to one charge of battery with substantial bodily harm for his involvement in the brawl. He has been sentenced to five years' probation -- which includes stipulations that he must be employed full-time, go to drug and alcohol rehab, and stay out of trouble. He also can't transfer his probation to other states, which means he is unlikely to be able to tour with the band. [Part of me thinks this is entirely illogical, since that stipulation makes it hard for him to meet the employment part considering touring is his job.] He also has to pay nearly $100,000 in restitution to the mother of Michael Cook.
Michael Cook's mother, Ceda Freeman, says this is not enough, though and wil be pursuing further actions, most likely a civil suit in the case.
In related news, although this has not been confirmed by the band or Epitaph Records, as of today, Ronnis is reportedly no longer a member of Escape the Fate. They basically had an argument with Ronnie and kicked him out. Omar, guitarist from Escape The Fate also left. Ronnie is now in a new band called Falling In Reverse, which basically has the members from Behind These Walls in it. He will be out on the 15TH OF DECEMBER!!!!!!
Escape the fate was born in 2004...the vocalist Ronnie radke , bassist Max Green , drummer Robert Ortiz , guitarist Bryan Monte Money , and another guitarist Omar Espinosa. On September 26, 2006 the band released their first full-length album, "Dying Is Your Latest Fashion" !!! In 2007, During the Black on Black tour, rhythm guitarist Omar Espinosa left the band due to personal issues. Ronnie Radke was asked to leave the band after he was sentenced to prison for multiple run-ins with the law involving narcotics and battery for a fight that led up to the death of Michael Cook. And Ronnie Radke is out of jail on February 2009!!! he does a new band named "From behind these walls" ....its a good band!!! Craig Mabbit the new singer from "Escape the fate" join the band and do an album named "This war is ours" was released on October 21, 2008. Also Ronnie Radke from the new band "From behind these walls" gonna do a new album maybe on October 2009!!! ;P
