Yes, in their older albums and in a few of their newer songs they do use profanity. Not excessively, though. Their newer, more commercialized music seems more docile, though.
I think it was Phoenix Farrell. He use to be just a part time bass guitar player for linkin park. There for he wasn't included in the band pictures, until he became a full time bass guitar player. Hope this answer was usefull!
