The members of Pink Floyd include Syd Barrett, Roger Waters, Richard Wright, and Nick Mason. They were the original members. Later on around 1968 - 1969, David Gilmour joined the group as Barretts behaviour had become erratic. Eventually, Gilmour would replace Barrett altogether.
first there was Syd Barret on vocals and lead guitar, Roger Waters on bass (and vocals, mainly backing though), Nick Mason on drums, Richard Wright on piano/keyboards and, for a small amount of time, Bob Klose on Guitars. Then when Syd Barret was on the way out they got one of his school friends, David Gilmore to play guitars for there second album a sucerful of secrets, on which only one of the songs, set the controls for the heart of the sun, is the only song/track that all 5 past members that had played on albums (so not Bob Klose) played on (and a sucerful of secrets was the only album to feature all the past band members apart from Bob klose) then they got ride of Syd, and went to the "classic" line up of Roger Waters on Bass and vocals, David Gilmore on Guitars and vocals, Nick Mason on Drums and Rick (Richard) Wright on Piano/keyboards. They stayed like this up to the final cut when Rick Wright pulled out, but then for the last 2 albums came back in, the after the final cut Roger quit, then they did "A momentery lapse of reson" and "the Division bell" with David, Rick & Nick and haven't done anymore albums since (please note that this was wrote March 2011 so one of them might have pulled out since then).
The band was originally formed with Roger Waters (bass), Nick Mason (drums), Richard Wright (keyboards), and Bob Klose (guitar). Klose left the band and was replaced by Syd Barrett before the recorded their first single. After a short period of time Barrett was replaced by David Gilmour on lead guitar. This resulted in the most famous lineup, which recorded albums such as Dark Side of the Moon and The Wall. After the album The Final Cut, there was a falling out between band members, and Roger Waters left the band.
The founding members of Pink Floyd were Syd Barrett, Roger Waters, Richard Wright, and Nick Mason. In 1968, Syd Barrett left the band shortly after David Gilmour joined. In 1979, Richard Wright was forced out of the band and was featured as merely a session musician during concerts over the next few years. In 1984, Roger Waters officially left the band. In 1987, Richard Wright was reinstated as a permanent member of the band.
The band is no longer active as Pink Floyd, but when it last was, the official members were David Gilmour, Richard Wright (who has since passed away), and Nick Mason (who is the only member to have always been part of the band).
Syd Barrett Roger Waters Richard Wright Nick Mason. David Gilmour joined shortly thereafter to aid their concert performances, and when Syd Barrett's mental condition began preventing him from doing his best in the band, Dave replaced him. Roger Waters left in 1983 after The Final Cut album. Richard Wright, Nick Mason, and David Gilmour carried on between 1987-1995. The band has been completely inactive ever since except for a 2005 reunion of their 70's lineup Waters, Gilmour, Mason, and Wright. It would be their final hurrah except for a 2014 album put together by David Gilmour from The Division Bell tracks from 1994. Wright had already passed away in 2008. The new single Louder Than Words was the last studio work the band ever did. David Gilmour added vocals over some previously existing studio work done by both Mason and Wright (during the Division Bell recording sessions).

Pink Floyd is a band and therefore does not have one particular mother. 'Mother' was a song released by Pink Floyd in 1979 on their popular album The Wall.
Other than starring in the movie 'Pink Floyd The Wall', no. He did however play a crucial role in encouraging the members to reunite at Live 8 London in 2005.
Floyd Council group is Pink Floyd
There was no Scottish member of Pink Floyd. They are all English. Any Scottish accent in a Pink Floyd song is provided by Roger Waters.
