I guess I will have to answer my own question, since I have found answers. The lyrics to "Liberty Land" were credited to Muff Murgittroyd. I can find no other lyrics credited to him on the internet, so maybe this was a pen name. The lyrics to the "Waltz of Goodbye" were credited to Michael Kunze, who is primarily known for writing lyrics in German.
