There are two light shows at many concerts. One is from the electrics section, and one is from the pyrotechnics section. Our sections have to work together to make sure that our "looks" compliment each other. We also have to cooperate when we build our rigs to make sure 1) that heat from the lights won't set off any pyro accidentally, and 2) that exploding pyro doesn't blow up our lights.
As far as a particular name for the light show itself, we really don't have one. We consider the performance of the artist, lights, sound, pyro and video to be part of the same big picture. We pretty much just call the whole thing "the Gig."

Iron Maiden have played over 2000 live shows/concerts.
I believe it might be Elton John who has recently hit 3000 concerts in October 2011. He is the artist who has played the most concerts in the U.S. at least:
He has had 129 concerts as part of the My World Tour. He also had on concert for charity in California before he performed in Mexico and South America. I'm not sure if anyone but maybe him knows how many performances he has had. Well into the hundreds I'm sure.
Laser light shows can be found at planetariums, science centers, music festivals, and special events or concerts that feature visual effects. Some laser light shows may also be available for streaming online.

Between secret shows, and shows in foreign countries, I doubt it's even possible to count.
Officially, about 211. But that doesn't count shows where they opened when they were starting out, or smaller shows that were unaccounted for.
