Seasonal songs have a long history and all four seasons have produced ( I am not talking of the Frankie Valli Group ) seasonal music, but there is a major overlap between Christmas and Winter songs and they coincide- like Sleigh ride, which interestingly enough does not mention Christmas ( nor does Jingle Bells) But on the Spring front there are: Welcome to the Springtime- by Mendelsohn, no less- widely used in Looney Tunes, sadly.Seasons in the Sun, Mentions spring in the lyrics, and numerous others. There were a number of seasonal ditties dealing with other seasons such as Summer ( Good Old Summertime), In the Summer time, etc, autumn- Fair winds of autumn, autumn leaves, etc. The only season not really celebrated is winter due to the Yuletide overlap though Englebert Humperdinck did produce a ( Winter world of Love )-not in any sense a yule song, and one might also work in ( Try To Remember) from (The Fantastiks), itself a big it.
