NO!
Hello I am having same problem on my daughters car, I am not much of a mechanic. May I ask did you ever find solution
If you bought the car "as is," then no, you have no legal recourse. That's why you always have a mechanic check out a used car before you sign. If on the other hand you bought the car from a reputable dealer that offered a warranty, then you MIGHT be covered. It would have to be determined whether or not the transmission failed due to your negligence or not. Good luck with that.
it may have something to do with a security lock in the car. I just put my Volvo s70 into the shop for repairs and the mechanic accidentally put a lock on the whole radio console. Have you taken your car into the shop recently?
Justin said if his singing career doesnt go far he would be a doctor Edit: he said he wanted to be mechanic LOL!
Type your answer here... no law .do what you want its your car
It is true that if the mechanical shop is holding the car because of non-payment of the repair, they would need to have filed a mechanic's lien on the vehicle in order to legally detain it. However: If your complaint is that the car was not fixed properly you shuold have taken the mechanic to small claims court, rather than just not paid him.
A mechanic, or motor mechanic, or car mechanic.
The passive equivalent is "The car will be repaired by the mechanic."
Yes, that's the law in most states. That's why it's important to have a good mechanic, one you can trust. Finding an honest mechanic is at least as important as important as finding a competent mechanic.
