Jehovah is God. (Exodus 6:3, KJV) Therefore, he knows if Jesus is God or not.
Jehovah inspired the whole Bible to be written. (2 Timothy 3:16, 17)
One thing he had inspired to be written were the words of Luke 1:32, which tells us that Jesus is "the Son of the Highest."
Who is the Highest? Psalm 83:18 answers: "That men may know that thou, whose name alone is JEHOVAH, art the most high over all the earth."
So, Jesus is the Son of the most high God, Jehovah.
AnswerThe above answer shows typical Jehovah's Witness rhetoric where verses are taken out of context to try to prove a very erroneous point. No, Jehovah's Witnesses do not believe Jesus is God. They refuse to accept God-inspired Scripture and the teachings of the Church over the last 2000 years which had its roots in the apostles themselves who taught the early Church fathers (such as Polycarp, Irenaeus, Tertullian and so on) that Jesus is divine. They refuse to accept that the Trinitarian Godhead, Father, Son and Holy Spirit is not only scriptural (eg specifically at the end of Matthew's gospel, and which pervades the whole of scripture from Genesis to Revelation) but it is the only way theologically that makes sense of a God of love, sacrificing himself on the cross, as Jesus, as an act of total inconditional love for humanity. They insist on calling God 'Jehovah' despite this term not being Biblical but a corruption of God's 'name' YHWH (called the Tertragrammaton) which was deemed so holy that it was never uttered aloud by Jews. Instead they used the word 'Adonai' (Lord) among others. Their insistence on calling God, then, 'Jehovah' is even more grating on both the ear of the Christian and the Jew, and is seen as even more disrespectful than, say, calling Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II 'Lizzie' to her face.
Instead Jehovah's Witnesses follow the teachings of a self-confessed charlatan called Charles Taize Russell who in the 19th Century set himself up as a 'pastor' and 'Biblical Scholar' despite having never been called to ministry or having been ordained, and despite his having absolutely no knowledge of Biblical Greek Hebrew, history or theology. His main concern was in making money from selling Biblical tracts through the organisation he set up called the 'Watchtower' organisation, which still exists, and which still makes vast amounts of money selling bogus religious literature to the unwary.
As a result of this heretical teaching, JWs are taught that Jesus is not God and that we are not to worship him (despite several references in scripture of Jesus accepting worship). Their interpretation of scripture is extremely poor and misleads many, as they do not have the rigor or understanding of scripture that would provide them with the correct interpretation that God iintended. Yet they regard themselves as the only group who will go to heaven, and judge all others as in cahoots with the devil, and belief in Jesus as Lord and the second person of a Trinitarian Godhead as satanic.
Therefore the Christian Church does not recognise the JW organisation as a Christian organisation, but as a cult - and some would even go as far to say that is a sinister cult at its worst.
Jehovah's Witnesses indeed claim that they are Christians. Jehovah's Witnesses are "followers of Christ", implying that even if they don't claim to be Christians (which they/we do), they would be anyway. Jehovah's Witnesses indeed claim to be Christian. They accept Jesus as the son of God, being of divine nature. They believe he had a prehuman existence and came to earth to die for mankind's sins. Jehovah's Witnesses believe that there can be no salvation without accepting Jesus sacrifice and honour Jesus as their King and Leader. Since to be a 'christian' means to follow Jesus' example and obey him, they preach the bible in imitation of their leader Jesus, and try to be like him in word and deed. So, yes, Jehovah's Witnesses feel they have the right to be called Christian. Any 'confusion' that has arisen in this regard may be from the fact that Jehovah's Witnesses believe Jesus to be God's Son and not Almighty God himself. They reject the teaching of the trinity as unscriptural. == ==
Perhaps, she does. I hope so.
Any individual can become one of Jehovah's Witnesses if they have personally dedicated their lives to God through Jesus and demonstrated that dedication publically through full body immersion baptism. This is only undertaken by individuals that have sufficent knowlege of the bible and what becoming one of Jehovah's Witnesses involves and have manifested their love, faith and desire to follow Jesus.
Of course! Christian is his religion. Just like me!
he said that he wasn't anti christ anti religion in his song god he says ''god is a concept by which we measure our pain, i don't believe in magic, dont believe in...... i don't believe in Jesus' he just said that to get get with the song but in the song he really talks about what he believes in.And when he said ''i think we mean more to kids than Jesus' he just said that to get his opinion across later on he went on the TV and did a world wide apologize so just to prove to you John Winston Ono Lennon was not Anti-christ when he died.
If you believe that Jesus Christ is God, then yes He is Jehovah.
Jehovah's Witnesses believe and teach that there is only one true God, Jehovah God; the Father. They believe and teach that Jesus is the first creation of Jehovah, and created all other things. They believe and teach that Jesus as the Archangel Michael is a god, a copy of Jehovah, but a lesser god. They also believe and teach the same for Satan and all the angels and demons.
Because they believe that Jehovah is God alone and not Jesus
Jehovah's Witnesses believe in God. It is a monotheistic religion and a branch of Christianity. They believe that Jesus was the Son of God, for example.
Although I'm not an authority on the subject, they believe that Jesus was created in the image of the Father, God. This goes against what the bible says about what and who Jesus is.
Most of the people I've known that does not worship Jehovah has the ff reasons: 1. They believe in the trinity. Three persons in one God. 2. They believe that Jesus is God. 3. They don't believe that Jehovah is the name of God. 4. They don't believe that God's personal name should be pronounced. My advice, continue searching for the truth about Jehovah so you may have the chance to have an eternal life. John 17:3 God Bless.
Jehovah's Witnesses believe that Jesus is the first-born of all creation, he is the "only-begotten" son of Almighty God Jehovah. Jehovah's Witnesses believe that Jesus came to the earth to redeem mankind from the sin imposed upon the human race by Adam and Eve. Jehovah's Witnesses believe that salvation can only be attained by exercising faith in Jesus, in his teachings and in his ransom sacrifice. You can learn more about what Jehovah's Witnesses believe about Jesus from their official website.
When people started not believing GOD and Jesus Christ For example Christians believe in GOD abd JESUS. Johovah's dont believe that JESUS isn't the son of GOD.
We believe that Jesus is God's(Jehovah) son. At Matthew 3:17 after Jesus' baptism a voice from heaven says, "This is my son the beloved whom I have approved. Also at John 3:16 the scriptures tell us that God sent his only son to die for us.
Yes, Jehovah's Witnesses believe there is more than 1 god.For example, they believe that Satan the Devil is a god, Jesus is a god, money can be godlike to some people etc. However, they believe there is only 1 God - Jehovah. While they believe gods (animate and inanimate) can be mighty in power or influence, they believe that Jehovah God is the only Almighty God.This means that they believe He alone deserves worship.Other gods are therefore not to be revered but rather either respected, in the case of Jesus Christ, or shunned, in the case of Satan the Devil.
Jehovah is a name for God. Catholics believe in God. They just don't generally use Jehovah as a name for God, but it is the same God. So yes, you could say that Catholics believe in Jehovah.
Jehovah God, is Almighty God - the father of Jesus Christ He has no mother.
