In the Isuzu Rodeos car manual or repair manual there should be a radio diagram. Most radios can be exchanged with the factory radio though a harness may need to be purchased.

A simple continuity test will do, check for continuity from the antenna to the plug. Not much goes wrong with these though I would look at the plug connection at the back of the stereo sometimes they are loose and come apart.
You'll have to call the dealer for this one.

If the dome lights and the radio went out at the same time on a 1997 Isuzu Rodeo, it could be a fuse. There are two fuse boxes on that vehicle. One is on the passenger side in the engine compartment and one is located in the dash on the driver's side. The fuse for the radio is in the dash fuse box.
i recently purchased a 2000 rodeo and wanted to remove the standard radio. Replacing it with a CD player but not sure on the original wiring. can you help me out would be apreciated thank you
If it is a 4 cylinder, it's underneathe the radio. If it's a V6, it's in the engine compartment behind the air filter housing.
I saw on another web-site that stated the blue was (-) and the yellow was (+). This was for the front doors. Not sure about the rear. Hope this helps.
Buy a cleaning kit at Auto Zone or equal. If that does not work, you have to take it out to Radio Man. JPt
Check the strater Lead From the positive Battery cable to the selonoid.

its not all that hard.. if you have the CD player and radio combo you do not have to remove the CD player just remove the radio. Then buy a harness for your Isuzu. (crutchfield.com has them for like 13 dollars) match up the wiring colors and your done..
Check the fuse. Look in your owners manual for the location of the fusebox & a diagram of the fuses. Conversely, if you already know the location of the fusebox, there is usually a diagram in or near it.
To change the radio in an Isuzu Amigo, first remove the bezel from around the radio. Then, release the side clips from the radio itself and pull it out of the dashboard. Remove the wiring from the back of the radio and add this to the new radio. Reverse the process to install the new radio.
