For the price, yes. I have both Peavey Millenium AC BXP (active) and Peavey Grind (passive). Both are foreign made, but play very well. I am a relatively new player. For 5 string, I think the Millenium does fairly well, though I like the B on the Grind 5 string better. From what I've heard, if you've got the money, buy US made, but for the price, these are decent.
I just bought a Peavey Tracer Custom '89, HSS, Kahler double locking trem, factory case from Musician's Friend used gear online. Paid $200 including shipping...They can be found from around $175 to $300...They ar very inexpensive, and very very good quality guitars, all are US made. They are very versatile and great players guitars for dirt cheap. I now own 5 Peavey guitars and a Peavey bass, along with 4 Peavey amps. They are like finding gold. mark
In very good condition a Humphrey Millennium guitar sells for around $15,000.
if i were to suggest one good bass line. this is the one Money-pink Floyd
www.ultimate-guitar.com have some really good bass and guitar tabs and chords.
Actually, you can play both bass and guitar on any amplifier. But to produce a better and lower sound for bass, you need a special amplifier for it. I am not sure that there is an amplifier that can play bass and guitar with equal quality.
Check out some Bass-DVDs, they are a good help.

There are many good, light bass guitars. Some good brands include Rees Guitars Lightweight F-Light Bass Guitar and the Yamaha RBX4 A2 Super-Light Electric Bass Guitar.
I would recommend a fender jazz bass what a great bass it is
if you are abeginner and have a budget, a good bass guitar is the epiphone thunder bird which can go for around 300 dollars. if you are an intermediate to advanced, a good bass would be a fender jazz bass or precision bass which have a price range of 500 to 2500 dollars. Preference my favorite bass guitar tough is the Rickenbacker 4003 fireglo which go for about 2500-3000 dollars maybe more
A vintage peavey. A Peavey T-15 to be specific. Those things were built like bricks and stay in tune forever. I play one on stage all the time!

Fernandez makes good bass guitars to play metal music.
Yes, you can plug a bass into a guitar amp, but the sound quality may not be optimal. Bass amps are designed to handle the lower frequencies of a bass guitar, providing better sound quality and preventing damage to the amp. Using a guitar amp for a bass may result in distorted or muddy sound due to the amp's inability to properly handle the bass frequencies.
