Which is better car polish or car wax?

It depends on your definition of car polish, polishing compounds take a little of the corrosive glaze that eventually attacks all paint jobs. Car wax puts a film of wax polish to protect the paint job. Many automobile painters I have conferred with tell me if you want to restore the paint job use polishing compound and then put a coat of wax polish on it. Polish if meant as car polish would be just like car wax it puts a film of polish on the paint to protect it. I do not have the information about the brand of polish, for that I would consult the internet.

Do you still make Mansion Polish for wood and furniture Is it available in any Caribbean country if so which ones and at which stores?

I can tell you of an Indian brand of wax polish which has more than 60 years of rich history behind it - Dazlo (Regd.) Wax Polish. It is pure and is being made from the most traditional waxes from the nature. It is perfect to apply and leaves the surface shining like new. It can be applied to a wide range of floors and furniture. Even before Reckitt began manufacturing Mansion Wax Polish in India, Dazlo (Regd.) Wax Polish was being manufactured and sold across India. The main difference between car polish and car wax is that car polish actually cleans the car's surface, but car wax is more of a sealant or top coat to use on an already cleaned vehicle. How do you get red candle wax off of a wood mantel?

First, scrape off as much wax as you can using a plastic lifter, the kind you use on teflon pans. If there are indentations in the wood, use a smaller tool, even a wooden toothpick for small spaces. Try not to use metal utensils which will damage the wood. Once you have removed as much wax as possible using this method, remove the rest with hot water and soap. Fill a bowl with the hottest water you can tolerate using rubber gloves. Dip a cloth in the water and wring out the cloth before applying it to the wood. The heat in the cloth will melt the wax into the cloth. Keep doing this until the wax is gone. Dry the wood immediately with a dry cloth. When the wood is completely dry, apply a coating of oil or furniture polish depending on what type of finish is already on the mantle. If the mantle had a varathane coating, the oil or funiture polish won't be necessary. Dump the water from the bowl outside to keep the wax out of your drains. - Dave.
