Plug your turn table into your input sound card (line in on your sound card) Use a program like Nero Media Player, or any digital recording program ( Sound Blaster or Wave Studio) Tell it to save the file as mp3, that simple. Reply from another FAQ Farmer: If you are an experienced Computer user and have a Wave Recording program such as Audacity [free] or Adobe Audition [$$$] youcan do this: 1. Your record player must have a LINE OUT.....usually go from your stereo receiver [YOu can get turntables with internal Line outputs...this is what I have...via ebay] 2. Output from Receiver [turntable] must be the small [headphone like plug...used to be called Sony Plug...now it's the 3/32nd I believe.... 3. plug this into the line in of the sound card....it's the arrow that points INTO the little hole. Now the sound card can read the signal.....but wait...! 4. YOu must enable the little box in the sound card properties called "Line IN"....put the check mark there. 5. How to get to the Properties? Bottom right of screen there should be a speaker ICON....double click that. Then go to File....Properties....record.....then look for the LINE IN....check it. If you don't see it. Then you have to ask someone in person to help you. 6. If you get it working. Great! 7 Now open a recording program and press record....then play the record. You should see a wave file going across the screen. Then save it as an MP3 file. 8. Advanced tip: if you record at a rate of 59594 instead of 44100 then you can play the 33 1/3 speed at 45 RPM and save about 30% time in recording from a record. Then convert back to 44100 and it will be normal speed. I do this on ALL my LP to MP3 recordings... The above is for more advance type computer users.
If you have a turntable, a stereo receiver, and a Y splitting cable you can do this. Run the record player to the phono jack on the receiver. In the tape section on the back of the receiver, plug the Y splitter cable into the rec out. Run the Y cable to the MIC or LINE IN jack on your computer.
Next you need some sound editing software, and you should be able to find some free programs for this online. Hit REC on the sound software, and press play on the record player. MAKE SURE THE RECIEVER IS SET TO PHONO.
If the sound you get is distorted, reduce the line in volume by using the volume contorls (Windows). Right click on the speaker in the taskbar, and select adjust audio properties. Then go to OPTIONS>PROPERTIESand select recording. Use the sliders to adj. input volume.
Save the file as .wav and import it into your CD burning software.
A CD compresses music, With some music this compression ruins the sound. If music is released only on LP it would be due to this.

I have the LP but not the equipment to transfer it to CD I am open for offers on the Album
Not legally... One of Billy's first CD releases contained some songs (but not all) from Carrier and SurDis. That CD (Portraits) is now out of print, but can be found online for a premium price ($35 and up). If you have SurDis on cassette or LP, there are relatively inexpensive devices (under $100) that can play those media and convert to .mp3 or other audio formats.
You can find the soundtrack to the 1974 film Stardust on CD at Amazon, eBay, and Barnes and Noble.
The huge advantage to an lp to cd recoder is obvious, you don't need an lp player anymore to play your favourite music. You can play your cd wherevere you are, wich with an lp player is impossible.
Yes, you can record LP's to CD's or DVD's. In order to do so, you need to connect the LP player using a Y audio cable to the computer. You will also need a program to convert the input audio into an MP3 or WAV file. Once you have captured the audio, you can save the files directly to a CD or DVD or use a CD writing program to create an audio CD.

Some guy in Japan is currently selling it for $40 plus $17 shipping (to Canada) on Ebay (ridiculous). I have the LP, and hope to convert it to MP3 and then to a CD when I finally get around to it. No way I would dish out $57 for a CD.
Downloading any copyrighted material from Limewire is legal no matter if you already own it or not.
There are a wide variety of ways that an individual could ruin an LP. Breaking the LP in half would do the trick. Alternatively, one could scratch the LP with a key or knife.

There were no CD's in the 1950's. We had 45 and LP records.
It should theoretically be possible. However, it would be easier and probably cheaper just to replace the engine with one designed for gasoline.

The Marshall Mathers LP
Simple answer: 100 pounds of Propane => 100 / 4.24 = 23.6 gal the "standard" LP cylinder for a gas grill is 20 pounds = 4.7 gallons The conversion for LP is Gallons x 4.24 = Pounds if one is trying to compare LP to gasoline, one must also consider that LP provides about 80% of the energy of gasoline. In a small portable generator, it is nearly transparent, but if one wishes to convert a car to LP one gets less mpg and hp.
