A student (non-professional) cello costs about $1000 in the U.S. which is equal to about 961.63 in AUD. A higher quality cello with better sound will cost about 1926.60 to 4816.50 AUD.
it depends on the age, type, and quality of the viola
2,000 to 2,500 for a full size luxury cello that has materials to protect the instrument and for a very nice one can get as high as 3,000 and 5,000 dollars Whizkid96: A decent/good full size cello do cost 2000~2500 USD Dollars. Top-notch quality cellos can cost from 2500~1.03 million dollars (Stradivari)
Some Cellos have 5 strings some have 4. If the Cello is a unpopular brand(Like a brand that would sell Cellos for about; 800+$?) , it'll be expensive: If its a cheap Cello that means the brand is popular. Depending on how old you are, if your 30+ you'd probably want a Adult(4/4) Cello, if your a kid/teenager you'd want a 1/2 or bigger but NOT a 4/4. I'm looking on Ebay for a Cello around 100$. He owns four, actually: * General Kyd Stradivarius (1714) * Soil Stradivarius (1714) * Sauret Guarnerius del Gesu (1743) * ex-Kreiser Bergonzi (1740) The ones he uses primarily in public performances are the Soil Stradivarius and the Sauret G del Gesu. One most likely will not find these instruments in the local music store ... these can be very rare items and do cost thousands and thousands of dollars. When you are Itzhak Perlman, you can afford those without question.

This question makes no sense.
The Violin is the smallest instrument in the string family, it also has the highest pitch. The violin and cello are similar, both have four strings tuned in perfect 5th intervels. The violin's lowest note is the first G below middle C and the cello's lowest note is 2 octaves below middle C. Both instruments can be played with a bow or plucked by the strings. Different bows and strings are used to play the instruments. For example the cello bow is much thicker than the violin bow. Cello has a range comparable to a tenor, and violin has a range comparable to a soprano and is the closest instrument to the human voice. A Violin is more portable, however a cello can also be transported. Depending on the size and quality a violin and a cello can cost about the same, but usually a cello and its accessories are a bit more. For example, a really nice cello would cost more than a violin of the same quality because it costs more to make.

I'm not sure exactly how much but I know it can be up to about 5 million dollars.
A few hundred dollars for the 200,000 or so fakes that are around. 1.5 million for a genuine one, but there were only 1000 of those made and not many have survived for 279 years.
