How many 1960's Orlando Electric Guitars were made and by who? I have one and it is beautiful. I can't identify it with any guitar dealer or book writer. Is the one I have a prototype? It is a thinline double-Florentine cutaways. Please help.

Resonator guitars are named so after the cone shaped "resonator" in the body of the guitar. This innovation was invented so too amplify the sound of the acoustic guitar, and early models were almost always made out of steel (The cone that is, the wooden body stayed wooden). almost everything: the shape and look the volume difference without an amplifier on an electric is staggering usually electric guitars have thinner necks (esp , jackson , bc rich , ibanez..ect) electric guitars have pickups placed under the strings which is easily identifiable electric guitars are heavier as it's more wood acoustic guitars are hollow made from glued together pieces of wood electric guitars you can adjust the string height and set intonation sound wise it all depends on what two guitars you're comparing so there's no easy answer
A hand made electric guitar is normally one that is made to order, most guitars today by the main companies are machine cut, production line manufactured. Some companies claim guitars are hand finished which is not to be confused with hand made.

you'll never see a floyd rose or whammy bar system for that matter on an acoustic , or say electric guitar pickups that are designed specifically for guitars. stoptail pieces for tuneomatics on say les paul guitars locking nuts for floyd roses knobs right on the face of the guitar like an electric on cheap acoustic guitars I've seen them made without trussrods which shocked me
