A cello is not usually very heavy, light enough to carry with one arm, but don't do it because you may bump into something and smash the poor thing.

It is usually 8-30 pounds. It depends on the wood, how big it is and how hollow it is. But most are pretty light.

A Cello is a large string instrument that is surprisingly light considering its size. An average weight of a Cello is around 9 Pounds, however it does of course depend on the quality of the Cello, and what type of wood it is made of (Spruce, Poplar, or Plywood).
