Aside from exterminating them (and there are far too many to make a dent in their population by killing them), the best way to keep sparrows from nesting is to deny them a place to nest.
As these ubiquitous birds adapt well and all their nesting sites cannot be "removed" from the area, that will mean simply noting the activities of local sparrows to deduce that they are building a nest and nesting. Then locate and destroy the nest. This is a "best case" option.
Unless you live in a rural area, using weapons to hunt and kill these birds is probably not a good idea. And as mentioned, there are far, far too many of these birds around to really put a crimp in their population.
Type your answer here... In sailing ship days of old, To stop the lookout falling asleep high up in the crow's nest, stones were thrown up to hit the crows nest to keep the lookout awake and therefore watchful. As supply of stones carried onboard ship for this reason, and replensished at each landfall ?
Here's my suggestion: Buy a set of brass tacks and a roll of aluminum screening from a hardware store. Cut the screening into strips eight inches wide and tack them over the gap in the roof overhang, where the birds are getting in to nest. That's it.
You can't stop crows.putting up lots of hawk decoys might work because crows hate hawks.check the laws in your area.if you are allowed to kill crows then get a powerful BB gun or a 22 rifle.
They get old, they never really lose it as they age but they just stop doing it as much. They get sick, older birds tend to get respiratory diseases and don't have the capacity for crowing any longer.

A chimney pot helps improve the draft in a chimney by increasing air flow. It also prevents rainwater from entering the chimney and reduces downdrafts. Additionally, chimney pots can enhance the appearance of a building.

Build a small fire if the nest is actually in the chimney. But most of the time the wasps are just coming inside the house through the chimney and don't necessarily have a nest in the chimney. They are just looking for an entry point to get inside and they can sneak past the fireplace damper to get in. In this case you have to put in a chimney balloon to stop them from getting in this way. But you can expect they will try to get in through soffits, windows, siding etc as well.I believe it is food smells especially that draw them into the house. This happens especially in the fall.
you cant they will never stop
no. If they'll build a nest on screen, i dont see how sky-blue paint would either.

The Titanic was big so the size worked against it which it did and the iceberg was right in front of it.
Your local hardware store should have bird traps you can use which is your best bet cost $10.00US if that. Is it illegal? No, as of 1981 you can relocate and move birds and nests as long as no harm is done to them as in being killed.

Go strait down from your farm and don't stop till you get to the bottom then go left and it is that big building You can get a harvest sprite there by standing in front of the chimney at the back, then press A.
You climb the bus stop cover and jump up to the nest. Use the resistance band to grab the hook. Jump onto the top of the next building.
