Scorpions do not lay eggs.
The young scorpions are born alive and climb onto the mother's back. She carries them around for about two weeks, when they have their first molt and can take care of themselves.
Molt = when their skin splits and they climb out of it, then they stretch out in their soft new skin until it hardens up. Then they wear it for a while until they get too big and molt again.
They use their spine.
Baby scorpions stay on Mother's back until they molt to I2, it takes 1-2 weeks from birth :)
they come out of the ball of the scorpions tail as eggs then they mold and become big
Scorpions are ovoviviparous animals. Scorpion embryos develop inside eggs that are retained within the mother's body until they are ready to hatch. When the baby scorpions emerge from their mother, it appears they have arrived through live birth, like a mammal.
Scorpions make good lizard food. There are many predators to scorpions, birds, cats, mice, rats, even humans in certain locations eat scorpions. So lizards eat scorpions, spiders eat scorpions, scorpions eat scorpions and people eat scorpions. I'm sure pocket mice eat scorpions!
