the embouchure, (or formation of lips) is a very large part in being a successful Trumpet player.try and buzz on a mouthpiece.sometimes this may come naturally when you buzz.the lips gently press together whilst keeping the corners very tight.say the letter "m" and leave your lips where they are.they should be slightly rolled in.then make a frown.your'e ready to go!

hope that helps =)

With your left hand, grip the valve casings. Most trumpets will have a ring of some sort for you to put your ring finger in (this is used to control the third valve slide). Your right hand should be used entirely for pressing the valves and should never support any weight. Your fingers should be placed on the valves so that you can press down any combination without any trouble or strain. Place your thumb wherever it feels comfortable. Many trumpets will have a ring or hook near where the pinky of your right hand will be. New trumpet players are generally discouraged from using this pinky ring, as new players will tend to use this ring to pull the trumpet into their face in order to hit higher notes.

like your making out with someone In regards to the above answer, everyone has different "making out" styles but hopefully they do not employ a proper trumpet playing technique. The best way I can describe it is this: Imagine you are tyring to blow air into a straw without putting it in your mouth. You need to pucker your lips up small enough that you could create a seal on a hole that small. Keep in mind, a trumpet mouthpiece is a lot larger than that; I am merely trying to describe the shape and size you should be trying for with your lips.

Yes. You do get tired. Especially if you blow your chops

----------------------

Just as yhou get tired from running or playing Basketball. But with practice and gradually building up the length of time you spend, you can go a longer time before getting tired.
