A keyboard could be a synthesizer, but most likely a keyboard is something called a sampler. Synthesizers create sounds from scratch using mathematical formulas whereas samplers utilize pre-recorded sounds. Also (expanded) - a keyboard usually relies on preset sounds whether be it stand alone or as midi which is connected to another or a computer (pc/mac), whereas a synthesizer can create sounds (from scratch) using mathematical formulas, which are then passed to digital chips on the motherboard for current synths, or analogue power oscillators on older synths. The better (usually more expensive) a synth - the more ways of sound creation is available. A synthesizer also gives you more flexibility with sound creation, whereas an average keyboard usually relies on preset pcm samples, that are when mixed together - give you "preset" sounds.
A piano is a percussion instrument that only produces one sound. It only comes in one of two styles grand and upright. It is also very heavy and not very portable, unless it's an electronic piano, they are much less heavy. An electronic piano can produce some other sounds but not as many as a synthesizer. A synthesizer comes in several different shapes (ex. Violin, guitar, keyboard, etc.) and can produce a wide verity of sounds. Every piano has weighted keys (even electronic pianos) and have what's called velocity. Velocity is simply how hard you hit the key the louder the note is and this is also on electronic pianos. A synthesizer usually doesn't come with velocity and weighted keys but there are some models that have those features. Pianos and synthesizers don't have very much in common.
A keyboard is electric A piano is non electric
yes because you can use piano to play music
The keyboard and piano are NOT the same, for a couple reasons: - The piano has a wider range. - It is more real and acoustic. - Better to practice on than a keyboard. If you are sending your child to piano lessons, it is best to buy a piano. A piano will teach them how to sit correctly, and how to actually press the notes far better than a keyboard will. And most keyboard keys are smaller than the piano's keys are, so that is not a good thing, if they want to practice right. Also, when your child reaches a higher level in piano, pieces will require more strength and power. If you happen to bang too much on the keyboard, the keys will break and the electronic sound will be damaged in time as well. However, a piano can take that kind of vigorous aggression. Hope this helped!
There is no specific price for a piano keyboard. A cheap keyboard could cost less than $100 and a higher quality one could cost thousands.

Electric keyboard usually refers to the keyboard of an electric piano. "Keyboard" is a generic word that can refer to an electric piano, an acoustic piano, a typerwriter keyboard, a computer keyboard, etc.
ou don't get the full range of keys on a keyboard so in that sense you can't play a lot of Beethoven on a keyboard but if you want a lot of sounds with effects than a keyboard is better. Generally if you just want to play the piano in its original sound it is best to have a piano as the sound is better and there is a full range of keys.
A standard keyboard has 104 keys, while a piano typically has 88 keys.
The purpose of a weighted keyboard is to better simulate playing an actual piano. Skilled piano players can achieve variations in the sounds produced by striking the weighted keys of a piano with different intensity. Additionally, since playing a piano or keyboard involves the use of muscles in the hands and arms, a weighted keyboard helps condition these muscles to better provide the strength and endurance to play an actual piano.
