He said in an interview that he was a "sucker for blondes" and if you think about it, all the girls he's dated in the past, and the ones he's rumored to be dating now (AJ Michalka, Taylor Swift, Chelsea Staub) are all blondes. No he likes brunettes. He went out with Amelia Aye and Camilla Belle. And he's mentioned he likes Natalie Portman, Leona Lewis, Emma Watson and Cheryl Cole. You can just tell. He obviously likes girl who look like him...hint Camilla Belle.
